How KraftHaus Studio handles personal information submitted through this website and project enquiries.

What we collect
If you use the project enquiry form, we collect the name, email address and project information you submit, together with optional phone and business details. If you contact us by email or phone, we process the information contained in that communication. To limit spam and repeated submissions, the enquiry handler keeps keyed hashes and request timestamps in a private abuse-control file. It does not keep enquiry text or raw email or IP addresses in that file. Records older than an hour are removed when the next valid enquiry is processed. Our hosting infrastructure may also record standard technical logs such as an IP address, request time, requested page and browser information for website operation and security.
Why we use it
We use personal information to respond to enquiries, understand and scope requested work, communicate about a potential or active project, maintain reasonable business records, protect the website and meet applicable legal obligations. We do not use the project enquiry form to enrol you in marketing communications.
Lawful processing
Depending on the context, processing may be based on consent, steps requested before entering into a contract, performance of a contract, a legitimate business interest that does not unjustifiably interfere with your privacy, or a legal obligation. We aim to collect only information that is relevant to the purpose.
Sharing and service providers
We do not sell personal information. Information may be processed by service providers that support website hosting, email, security or other business systems where that is reasonably necessary for the stated purpose. Where an operator processes personal information for KraftHaus Studio, appropriate confidentiality and security safeguards should apply.
Retention
We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, including responding to an enquiry, administering a project, resolving disputes and meeting legal or business-record requirements. Information that is no longer required should be securely deleted or de-identified where appropriate.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards intended to protect personal information against loss, unauthorised access, misuse or unlawful processing. No internet transmission can be guaranteed completely secure, so please avoid placing unnecessary sensitive information in the project description.
Your rights
Subject to POPIA and other applicable law, you may ask whether we hold personal information about you, request access or correction, object to certain processing, or request deletion where the law permits it. Contact Hello@krafthausstudio.com so we can assess the request and verify identity where necessary.
Cross-border processing
If a service provider processes personal information outside South Africa, KraftHaus Studio will consider the safeguards required by POPIA for that transfer and processing arrangement.
